define la eutanasia como "una acción o una omisión que por propia naturaleza o en su intención,

procura la muerte, con el fin de eliminar cualquier dolor".

A este respecto se consideran cuidados ordinarios la hidratación, la alimentación, la higiene

corporal, la medicación y la limpieza de las heridas. Estos cuidados deben ser considerados un

derecho del paciente, asícomo el no incrementar el sufrimiento del paciente en la fase terminal

de la enfermedad, incluso para pacientes en estado persistente vegetativo, ya que son todavía
